Thought I’d share my recent Cyber Security Simulated Tabletop Exercise experience…

Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of participating in a Simulated Tabletop Exercise. Thanks for the feature NUARI!

The tabletop focused on the prevention, protection, response, and recovery of Executive Level members — testing the Incident Response of an organization in the case of a cyber attack.

Although, I am fairly new to the Cyber Security space, this was an amazing opportunity to gain awareness and experience for potential roles and even to gain a broader perspective in my current role. It provided me with:

• Exposure to executive level decision making and processes during a cyber incident
• Familiarization with executive level processes and practices necessary to prepare and release a public message during a cyber incident
• Problem solving in a joint environment as members of the executive board and collaboration with external entities such as law enforcement or business partners

Thank you to the National Security Agency — CAE Regional Exercises (SW Hub) for sponsoring this event. Thank you Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI), San Antonio College, and all participating organizations.

You can check out https://nuari.net/decide/ for more info on their Tabletop exercises.
